Implications for customized employment, including self-employment will be explored. Successful examples will be presented and discussed. Participants will have an opportunity to share their successes and struggles in an effort to generate creative ways to individualize employment services for this population. Current events and happenings relevant to the ID population will be highlighted. The WRAT4 is widely used by rehabilitation counselors, vocational evaluators, rehabilitation psychologists, and other professionals to conduct a brief screening of a client's reading, spelling, and math skills.</description><link>http://www.uacurrents.org/bridgeworks/bwclass.aspx?eID=1998&amp;cID=2</link></item><item><title>"Impediments to Employment caused by TBI &amp; CVA"</title><description>The program is designed to improve the knowledge and skills of vocational rehabilitation counselors, psychologists, evaluators, employment training specialists and instructors in planning and providing vocational rehabilitation services to persons with neuropsychological disabilities - in specific, traumatic brain injury (T.B.I.), and cerebral vascular accidents (C.V.A.).</description><link>http://www.uacurrents.org/bridgeworks/bwclass.aspx?eID=2006&amp;cID=2</link></item><item><title>"Safe and Therapeutic Interventions with Aggressive Adolescents and Adults"</title><description>This 3 hour course will provide the participants with specific tools to prevent and de-escalate adolescent and adult clients who become verbally and physically aggressive.  The interventions will focus on general de-escalation techniques, motivational interviewing as an intervention, as well as techniques to use with clients diagnosed with different mental and physical disorders.
