Let’s discuss how to bring youth into the movement!

Join us, Discuss, and Learn from a Youth Perspective:

August 10th IL Conversation:

- How young people can best transition into adult disability organizations;

- How to create space for new ideas/perspectives from youth; and

- How CILs and SILCs can be more accessible to youth and people with cognitive disabilities.

(The July 13th IL Conversation covered disability pride, the meaning of disability community, and the meaning of inclusion.)

Call in from a quiet location and join the discussion or feel free to anonymously listen in.

IL Conversations, hosted by the University of Arkansas CURRENTS, are held monthly.   IL Conversations provide IL practitioners with an opportunity to talk with colleagues about the nuts and bolts of running a center for independent living and providing core services, as well as, to address broader state and national issues impacting CILs, SILCs, and people with disabilities.

To join your colleagues in discussing this month's IMPORTANT Independent Living issue, call the CURRENTS Bridgeline, (904) 357-8714, on August 10th at 3:00 pm CENTRAL Time. This is not a toll free call. Your regular long distance charges will apply.

There is no registration fee.

Simply call in from a quiet location and join the discussion or just listen in.

Watch for our next IL Conversation Announcement!

Different facilitators who are currently working in the field will join us each month to lead the discussion, answer  questions and refer participants to additional resources.

HOPE YOU JOIN US!
