iCan Online: (excellent site for the disability community. "iCan brings together content, community and resources in one place that is easy to navigate and welcomes your input." Goal is to become a site central to the disability community. "iCan will allow individuals to network and build their own support organization online." Review of site revealed an excellent career and employment search section that is national in scope and allows employment searching of job opportunities by each state. iCan features "15 community channels, all geared to improve the life of people with disabilities." Channels include: Travel, Employment, Shop@Home, Sports and Leisure, Self-Discovery and Relationships, Parents and Caregivers, Chat and Idea Exchange/Discussions, Classifieds, Money and Benefits, Independence and Daily Living, Volunteering and Community, Health and Fitness, Legislation and Advocacy, and Transportation.

The Independent Homeworkers Alliance (IHA): ( "IHA is a membership-driven organization dedicated to help the success of those who telecommute from the homebased workplace. Telecommuters, short-term contract workers, and people wishing to make homebased career can use the employment resources found at the Independent Homemakers Alliance. All membership fees are applied directly to the membership to improve, enhance, and add to the advantages, benefits and services provided to all members, on an ongoing basis." IHA claims to have over 30,000 members with 13,000 jobs in their database.)
The American Telecommuting Association (ATA): (membership includes access to local ATA meetings and telecommuting support groups, the ATA comprehensive handbook Volume 1 "How to Increase Your Personal Effectiveness and Job Satisfaction By Telecommuting" and Volume 2 "How to Increase Your Personal Effectiveness and Satisfaction Through Advanced Techniques." Membership also includes special interest items and information, reference desk for answering questions, "insider information", teleconferences, publications, tips on getting started in telecommuting, training to improve your skills, member to member computer forum and many other resources.)
